Psychedelic 911

The Psychedelic 911 project represents the transformation of a Porsche 911 into a canvas, a dialogue between speed, structure, and colour that redefines the boundaries between art and object.

Classic cars and racing have always been part of my life. When the opportunity came to work with a Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Turbolook (1988), an iconic car in elegant black, I felt both excitement and hesitation. It was a once in a lifetime challenge.

The process was as intense as it was rewarding. Preparing the car took hours of masking and cleaning before I finally dared to make the first brushstroke. That moment was overwhelming, I stood frozen for nearly twenty minutes before I let go and began. Once I started, I entered a creative flow, working for hours without pause. Just like in my canvas work, I used bubble wrap to leave imprints on the surface, adding texture and a personal signature to the design. What began as a rough sketch on my iPad quickly turned into an intuitive and spontaneous journey directly on the car’s body.

After several days of detail work, the transformation was complete. The Porsche had become a piece of art on wheels. Bright colours and bold structures now contrasted with its original black elegance, turning it into something entirely new.

The highlight followed at the Red Bull Ring, where I had the chance to drive this rolling artwork myself during the Ventilspiel event. It was a unique experience, both as an artist and as someone connected to the world of classic cars.
